The Baseline – Post #1

The first few posts will describe my current condition. The challenge here is: how to not make it boring while still providing useful insights. I guess I’ll just break it down into multiple “baseline” posts, trying to keep it short and entertaining.

Okay, today is October 30, 2023, which means that I’m 62.6 years old, or more precisely, 22,858 days old. Curiously, when measured in weeks, it doesn’t seem that much: just 3,265 weeks. However, it’s also an impressive 1.97 billion seconds—almost 2 billion seconds of life… but I digress…

Back to my condition. We’ll go from top to bottom, and I mean bottom in the literal sense: my feet, not my ass. And let’s assume that “top” means my head, since most of the time, my head is above other parts of my body.

The top of the top is the place where my hair used to be. Now, with the exception of a few lone survivors, the rest of the hair has retreated to lower grounds. But I guess a picture is better than a thousand words.

Yes, I’m wearing glasses, but these are reading glasses. I had perfect vision for the first 55 (or so) years of my life.

Okay, as promised, I’m keeping it short. You can pretty much see everything that’s happening on the surface of my head. Next time I’ll take a shot at the current state of affairs inside it. On second thought, I’ll try to avoid the shooting part. Okay, till the next post. Adios.
